Quality Engineer • Wright City, MO
Hours: 2nd Shift 3:00pm – 11:00pm
Responsibilities: Following all company safety policies and procedures. Utilizing Calypso CMM analyze and recommend process changes and enhancements. Performs CMM Programming, setup, and run difficult prototype and production parts. Ensure that applicable program, contract quality, compliance and fulfillment requirements are met through AS9102 FAI process, part specific quality plans, customer drawings, CAD Models, process specification, and review of customer or contractual documentation. Provides interface and support to customer quality concerns, facilitating customer responsiveness, and technical & advisory support to the production department based on first article parts, ensuring conformity throughout the production process. Conduct program-specific tasks (e.g., First Article Inspection, Qualification Test Failure Analysis, etc.) ensuring compliance to individual requirements. Devises, establishes, and maintains a reporting system for program quality providing visibility internally and externally. Understand GD&T requirements as applied to the engineering model and drawing notes.
Qualifications: Four-year engineering degree (BS or BA) and or Associates Degree with 3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing setting. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CMM Programming with a strong knowledge of Zeiss Calypso. Experience computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, etc. Excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and electronic). Ability to work in a team setting. Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and be self-motivated. U.S. Citizenship.
